Avalina Ballerina

She must have picked out those tights without me! I do remember she insisted on the matching of the top and skirt but those stripy tights are fun!
Daughter number two has been enjoying dance at the Queensborough Community Center for over a year now with an incredible teacher seen in the background - Miss Celia. She's hispanic and has such a lovely way of interacting with the children. She's a hugger too! We just adore her.

I haven't been getting much sleep lately with the baby sick and my brain on overdrive and the other girls waking up but I am
loving the sporadic sunshine and having a yard and the pocket park so close to us!
hmmm not sure why the baby is outside in a robe...

Feeling Blessed

Today was a good day to attend church in my Pajamas! General conference is a semiannual gathering of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During general conference weekend, Church members and others gather worldwide in a series of two-hour sessions to receive inspiration and instruction from Church leaders.
On the couch with my girls and husband cuddled up to me. I feel so much love for the 12 apostles and our Prophet Thomas S. Monson! I appreciate their inspired words and guidance throught the Spirit. There were wonderful reminders of how we can have more JOY in our lives and return with honor. Our prophet of God encouraged us to love one another and take care of any disputations among us. This has been something I have been working on instilling in my children. As an only child I find it puzzling how sibling interactions work. We are working on trying to keep contention out of our daily interactions.
The Saturday afternoon session of the April 2012 General Conferencebrought with it plenty of Church business with, among other positions, the release and call of the Presiding Bishopric and the General Relief Society PresidencyDavid Archuletta was part of the MTC choir, singing during the session. What a treat!
